Aminah “Chef Mimi” Robinson-Briscoe is the founder and chief curator of the Black Food & Wine Experience, a destination celebration bringing together culinary excellence, premium wine, hospitality, culture, travel, education and entrepreneurship.
What began as an intimate gathering has evolved into a nationally recognized platform supporting chefs, winemakers, beverage founders, makers, restaurants and hospitality professionals while creating experiences in Oakland, San Francisco, Detroit and Napa Valley.
Chef Mimi's work has been recognized by Forbes, Wine Enthusiast, the San Francisco Business Times, Food Network, Netflix, CBS, NBC, SFGATE, Axios and other leading media organizations.
Through BFWE, Chef Mimi is building more than an annual celebration. She is creating an ecosystem where culture is valued, entrepreneurs can grow and travelers can experience food and wine through a more inclusive expression of luxury.

Founded in 2016, the Black Food & Wine Experience is a multi-day culinary, wine and cultural destination experience created to celebrate Black excellence while welcoming everyone to the table.
BFWE connects guests with chefs, wineries, beverage brands, entrepreneurs, hospitality leaders and cultural tastemakers through signature tastings, dinners, demonstrations, educational programs, music, wellness and community experiences.
In 2027, BFWE enters its next chapter with BLOOM, the 10th-anniversary celebration.
